Bringing your musical ideas to life with Owen bloomfielD
This workshop is for musicians and non-musicians alike. Knowing how to read music is not a necessity at all. Using pictures, lines and other graphics, participants first gather musical and compositional ideas from the soundscape. Then through experimentation these thoughts and ideas arrive on the page in a manner so that they can be performed by the individual composers or others, often in the form of lines, shapes and other graphics. Topics that will be discussed include how form works in music, and the issues of notation and interpretation.
